Dr. Bowen (or "Dr. Josh") holds a Ph.D. in Ancient Near Eastern Studies, (Assyriology major with a minor in Hebrew Bible), an M.A. in Ancient Near Eastern Studies (both from The Johns Hopkins University), and a Th.M. in Old Testament Studies (Capital Bible Seminary). He won the Fulbright Scholarship in 2014, and was named as a Deutscher Akademischer Austasch Dienst recipient, also in 2014. He has extensive experience teaching Biblical Hebrew, and has a firm understanding of how to teach ancient languages to people who have no prior experience.
